Geology

Without information about types of stone we wouldn´t know anything about the development of the earth or of the life on it.

250 million years of the history of the earth are presented in the museum. Follow layer after layer in the structure of our stratified Franconian landscape. Pick up the stones in your hand and discover the appearance of our landscape from a new angle.

Face to face with a plateosaurus: the skeleton of this wingless dragon, a "Franconian lindworm" is eight metres long!

Minerals from all over the world impress by their beauty.
